Our Story
Some brands start with a business plan. This brand started with two women I never had the chance to know well enough, but who I carry with me every single day.
I named this business after my great-grandmothers. Eleanor, whose birth month flower is marigold, and Louise, whose birth month flower is rose. Years ago, I honored them by naming my wedding planning business Marigold Rose Events - a quiet way of keeping them close while I built something of my own.
That business didn't last. But their names did. Because legacy has a way of finding its form.
Today, those same names belong to something I believe in with everything I have. Marigold & Rose Tea Co., a small-batch healing loose leaf tea brand rooted in ancestral wisdom, botanical beauty, and the belief that a cup of tea can carry a whole story inside it.
At Marigold & Rose Tea Company we believe healing can be beautiful.
That the herbs our great-grandmothers knew — calendula, rose, hibiscus, honeybush — still have something profound to offer us today. That slowing down to steep a cup of tea is not a small thing. It is an act of care, of intention, of love for your own body.
Every blend we create is named for a feeling, a state of being, an intention. Because that's what tea should do — not just taste good, but make you feel something real.

At Marigold & Rose Tea Co., our mission is to make healing beautiful, one carefully crafted cup at a time.
We create small-batch loose-leaf tea blends from botanical ingredients chosen not just for their flavor, but for their power to support the body, calm the mind, and nourish the spirit. Each blend is named for a feeling and formulated with intention. We believe the women who reach for our teas deserve more than a pleasant taste. They deserve a ritual that actually works.
Our brand is guided by ancestral wisdom and in the knowledge that the plants our ancestors grew had profound healing properties that modern life has caused us to forget. Marigold & Rose Tea Co. exists to remember.

The long vision is a working farm, Marigold & Rose Farms, where every herb in every blend grows right outside the door. A place with chickens and ducks and pigs, a cutting garden full of calendula and rose, and a teaching space where anyone who wants to learn about plant medicine is welcome.
We're building slowly and intentionally. And we’re doing that because everything worth having takes time to grow.

Hi, I’m Tyese.
Founder of Marigold & Rose Tea Company, the Tea Ancestress, herbalism student, and the woman behind every cup crafted.
My path to tea wasn't a straight line. For over 20 years, I worked in the event planning industry, building relationships, creating experiences, and learning what it means to make people feel truly cared for in a space.
Meanwhile, I was always drawn to the earth. For the past five consecutive years, I've been working in horticulture, spending my seasons surrounded by plants, learning their rhythms, and falling more in love with growing things every single year. The more time I spent with plants, the more I understood that they aren't just beautiful. They heal.
That realization is what became Marigold & Rose Tea Co.
I am not a lifelong herbalist. I am a woman who looked at the plants grown by my foremothers and decided to learn everything she could about them and to share that knowledge through the most beautiful, accessible vehicle I could think of: a cup of tea.
Every blend I create is grounded in that spirit. I am building this brand slowly, intentionally, and with the kind of love that only comes from knowing exactly why you started.
